We built Podspun from scratch. Concept to launch.
Overview
Podspun makes podcast libraries searchable and discoverable. It indexes YouTube-based podcasts and turns them into channels where listeners can search every word across all episodes, ask questions about content, and jump to exact moments.
How It Works
Search "Where was that squirrel episode?" and Podspun returns the exact timestamp. Every episode gets auto-generated summaries, highlights, quote cards, and smart tags. Filters make browsing fast.
The Problem
Hours of podcast content go undiscovered because the metadata is bad. Listeners can't find moments they remember. Hosts can't surface their best work. The depth of a library goes to waste behind a vague episode title.
What We Built
Heroic owned the full build: product vision, feature strategy, brand identity, logo, design system, and UI for desktop and mobile. We developed the complete front-end and back-end including the website, web app, and mobile versions. We wrote all site copy and produced launch content across video and social.
Webby Honoree
Podspun is a two-time Webby Honoree in the 30th Annual Webby Awards by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, recognized in Best Use of AI and Web Services & Applications.
